PR students promote wellness, explain strategy

Public Relations majors in their first semester generally learn to storyboard and stop there.

Students Josh Collins, Tyra West, Linda Pope and Hunter Marshall were just one of the several Introduction to Public Relations class PR firms to take their storyboards live, and shoot a rough-cut video.  Their assignment was to storyboard about an important PR concept they had learned in the class in a way that would promote an area on campus and demonstrate their understanding of Chapter 2 in their PR textbook.

Their team,  Mad Men, has moved well beyond this assignment and is promoting OCCC’s Wellness Center through a full set of promotional strategies. They will be holding a campaign event  to encourage Wellness Center attendance Nov. 29, near the cafeteria.
